As only a limited number of units are available, the waiting process can take a while. When you near the top of the list and a unit becomes available, the HACB will contact you. It is your responsibility to make sure your contact information is correct. If we cannot contact you, you will be removed from the list. | When your name nears the top of the list, HACB will contact you to determine your eligibility and start the process for Public Housing unit. |
You do not have to be a resident of Butte/Glenn Counties to apply, however Public Housing units are specific units located in Chico, Oroville, and Gridley/Biggs. Units are offered for specific locations and are not Portable.

Income Eligibility Requirements
In order for a family to be eligible for federal housing assistance in Butte County, the total household income must not exceed these established yearly income limits as listed on the table.
